waiting for baby

May 7, 2012 | Snippets of Life | Comments

Since we are in the stage of “waiting for baby” we decided to stick close to home this weekend. We started Saturday morning off going to the Trails in Griffith Park. It’s a little outdoor cafe that has delicious baked goods, coffee and some lunch items. You can take a walk around the beautiful park and then stop there for a quick snack. I loved the picnic-style dining too :) Zan broke out his ole’ golf clubs to go hit a few balls at the range by our place. I think he got more joy out of chewing on the clubs than actually hitting balls with them… my dad would be proud. Just kidding, he actually did pretty well. For dinner we ate lots of sushi at Kiwami and then ended the day with a trip to the Pie Hole! It’s a quaint pie shop in downtown LA that serves the most amazing iced-soy latte I’ve ever had and some seriously good pie. I’ve always dreamed of the idea of owning a tiny pie shop. It just sounds so pleasant :) Anyway, it was a wonderful weekend and I was able to waddle 39 week self around since I have perfected that preggo waddle. It’s pretty sexy if you ask me, but don’t ask anyone else because they’ll have a different answer : )

Seriously you are the cutest and lovliest pregnant lady EVER! Love your dress, hat, sandals…the whole ensemble. That dessert looks pretty fantastic too. What a wonderful place.
Hope the next few days pass quickly. Cheers!

  • You sound just like my son and daughter-in-law. Yesterday katheen thought she was in active labor but when she went to the hospital to be monitored, after a few hours they kicked her out and sent her home. My son played golf today. While all this was going on, I got to babysit my 2 adorable granddaughters.

I wish you a wonderful birth experience and be sure to give your new baby lots of kisses for me.

  • Sanna!! Thank you SOOO much for that very sweet comment :) I appreciate it, especially right now as I am HUGE!! Haha! The dress is actually from Target! Every time I run in there to grab something, a dress always pops out at me and they’re so affordable, so I can’t resist! Thank you again so much!! :)
