candy melts and sugar cones

August 1, 2012 | Sweet Recipes | Comments

I had a box of sugar cones sitting in my cupboard and I was hankering to use them! I thought it would be a cute idea to dip them and write on them with Candy Melts. I love how they turned out and how they can be tailored to any event! You can write names and messaging on them or make a dipping design in various colors. How charming would they be served at a wedding with the bride and groom’s names written on them?! They’re SUPER easy to make too! Read below for the directions…

Melt the Candy Melts in the microwave. Let them cool for a few minutes then pour the melted candy into a frosting piping bag. Cut a small hole in the corner of the bag and pipe it onto the cone to make drips. The Candy Melts harden within a few minutes… you can also use the freezer to speed up the process. To create the writing, I fitted the piping bag with a tiny round tip and used my steady hand and best font (haha!) to write “ice cream” ;)
